Hello, my name is Zima, I am the 10-year-old “cutie with the booty” as my mother says. Not sure exactly what that means but she always says it in that nice “get a treat” voice so I don’t complain.  I am the big sister to my fellow canine companions which you will meet in moment, but also to my human brothers who I fiercely protect: Liam, Vinny, and Nolan. My best friend in the whole world is my dad, Tanner, but when I really need snuggles, I find my mom.  Not sure what her human name is, she is always referred to as mom or babe? Anyways, I always got my dad's back, and help him keep our family safe. I like long walks... anywhere, the wind in my tongue, and I LOVE a nice cozy fire.

Guinness (Goose/Goose dog) Pietrocci

Hi, my name is Guinness and I LOVE loves. I love pets and snuggles and lots uncomfortably close eye contact! My family thinks I was a human in a past life because I often try to do very human things; such as walk on two legs or grab your hand with my paws when you forget to keep petting me.  What can I say, I bark to beat of my own drum! I love all my humans, but my favorite would have to be the pup of the family, Nolan. He throws lots of food, and when I think mom isn’t looking, we share everything.  That kid knows how to party and has thumbs so he can lift the garbage lid for me! We got it pretty sweet around here, cozy beds by the fire in the winter and lots of exploring in the summer.

Bailey (Boo Boo) Pietrocci

Bark! I mean hi, my name is Bailey, and I have some anxiety in social situations. I love people, but before I came to be with family, I didn’t have it so good.  I have come a long way from when I first got here though! I have some meat on my bones now and am not worried about when I will get my next meal now.  I am still afraid of a few things; aluminum foil, thresholds, and even excited raised voices, but I know I am safe here.  I love my brothers, but not so much the loud noises they make. So, I usually give myself some space after a while. Self-care is so important! I enjoy playing outside and love me some good brushin’s! With my arthritis I need a warm spot year around, so living with a guy who knows how make sticks into a warm house is awesome.

Hi, my name is Kirky! I am a lover. I know how to get extra treats (and meals) with my sad puppy dog eyes and demeanor. Don’t even get me started on the belly rubs, oh I love em’, I love em’, I love em’!! My mom is definitely my favorite, however my dad takes me on walks. I’m a six year old black lab mix. I am sweet in person, but I will bark at you on the other side of the fence if you are just walking by! Wow, Shasta county is hot, but I got some new shade in my backyard this year.

Hello, my name is Remy.  I am only 2 years old, and am a full blooded mini-Australian shepherd, although most people say I look like a border collie.  I love to run around in the park and play “Get The Ball”.  I am very energetic and run circles around my humie family…..literally.   When I am not running around, I always want attention.  I tend to come up to you and nuzzle your hand or rest my head on your leg, you know so you can give me pets and belly rubs.  I think I’m a very smart pup.  I have learned to sit, dance, shake hands, give high five, and lay down.  I am very friendly and always ready to play.  I Love my humie family and give them hugs and kisses whenever I can.
